Frequently Asked Questions

What is a mobile notary?

A mobile notary travels to your location to notarize documents, saving you time and providing convenience for those who cannot travel.

How much does a mobile notary cost in California?

California law sets the maximum notary fee at $15 per signature. Travel fees vary based on distance and time, typically $25-75.

What ID do I need?

Valid government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport. The ID must be current and not expired.

Can you help me choose an acknowledgment, jurat, or another act?

No. California notaries cannot provide legal advice or choose the notarial act for you. I can link you to official California Secretary of State resources so you can read them and make your own choice.

Can you notarize a document in Spanish or another language?

Possibly, if we can communicate directly in a language we both understand and the document appears complete. I do not use an interpreter for the notarial communication, and I do not translate the legal title “Notary Public” as “notario público” or “notario.”

Do you offer same-day service?

Yes, same-day appointments are available when possible. Call early for best availability.
